The free
tuition pilot project offered this fall has been extended for Spring Semester
enrollment. Students will again have the opportunity to take classes for free
if they enroll in specific in-demand career training programs. The list of eligible programs remains the same.
Students
interested in attending for free must complete the Free Application for Federal Student
Aid. TTC will apply any federal and state grants first (Pell, S.C. Lottery
Tuition Assistance, etc.), then waive any remaining tuition, registration fees
and course fees. A special webpage on the Trident Tech website outlines
the steps required to receive free tuition.
Books are not
covered, although some students may receive money for books depending on the
type of financial aid they are awarded. Students also are responsible for digital
course materials fees if they are enrolled in courses that offer digital access
to course materials.
