Do you need math help? We offer tutoring, a Math Cube for private studying and assistance, and Faculty Office Hours to get you the help you need.

Free Math Tutoring

Ms. Aldrich offers free math tutoring 9:00-2:00 MWF and 11:30-3:30 TTh in Palmer room 226. Contact her at charlene.aldrich@tridenttech.edu to schedule an appointment.

The Main Campus on Rivers Ave in North Charleston also offers free math tutoring 8:00 am -6:00 pm M-TTh in building 300, room 358.

Math Cube

Palmer Campus offers a private, quiet study and group work space in Palmer room 156A (in the Science and Math Office Suite).  You can find others working there and can find faculty close by for assistance.

Faculty Office Hours

Need help from your instructor? Stop by their Office Hours, which is the time that faculty are in their offices for drop-in and scheduled meetings with students. You can find their office hours by looking at their schedules on their doors. This term you can find Jane Simkovich in room 156D Mondays 11:00-4:00 and Wednesdays 9:00-12:00.

Check Out the New Bones and Body Parts in the TTC Downtown Library

We are pleased to announce a new collaborative effort between the Biological Sciences and the Library at the downtown Palmer Campus. Palmer’s BIO210 students now have access to eleven of the anatomical models used in the 210 lab, as Reserve Materials in the library. TTC students can check out a model (with answer key) using their TTC ID and take advantage of the comfortable study space in the library. This is beneficial for students, as they can now study for lab assessments outside of their scheduled lab class.

The downtown Palmer Library (Room 229) is open Mon.-Thurs. 7:30 am-8 pm and Fri. 7:30 am-4 pm.

If you do not have a Student ID yet, please stop by Room 121 (Mon.-Thurs. 8 am-6 pm, Fri. 8 am-5 pm).  Models currently available include:  cell, skin, disarticulated skeleton, skull, knee, muscle fiber, arm muscles, leg muscles, neuron, brain, and spinal cord.

A Scholarship for Transfer Students

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship honors excellence by supporting outstanding community college students with financial need to transfer to and complete their bachelor’s degrees at the nation’s top four-year colleges and universities.

This scholarship makes it possible for the nation’s top community college students to complete their bachelor’s degrees by transferring to a selective four-year college or university. The Foundation provides up to $40,000 per year to each of approximately 85 deserving students selected annually, making it the largest private scholarship for two-year and community college transfer students in the country.

Each award is intended to cover a significant share of the student’s educational expenses – including tuition, living expenses, books and required fees – for the final two to three years necessary to achieve a bachelor’s degree. Awards vary by individual, based on the cost of tuition as well as other grants or scholarships he or she may receive.
