New Program Allows Students Wanting a Bachelor's Degree to Skype with Four-Year College Advisors

By Nova Edwards

On March 14th 2016, TTC launched their newest initiative to help transfer students get in touch with college admission representatives from across the state. Now transfer students can meet online via Skype with the following colleges: The College of Charleston, The Citadel, Clemson, USC-Columbia, and Palmetto College-USC online. Palmer students can learn more about how to sign up for these sessions by visiting The Transfer Information Resource Center in Palmer Room 102.

Ambar Jackson, a representative from The College of Charleston, has already started to see TTC students through Skype sessions. Ambar said, "Students come more prepared when they’re participating in the online sessions because they know to bring their unofficial transcripts and are ready to ask important and relevant questions." Ambar believes that this new way of meeting with students will take off quickly and become a huge success. We here at Palmer agree and are fully dedicated to making the program effective for our students.

Come by Room 102 or email nova.edwards@tridenttech.edu to find out how you can get started!
