Come join us to celebrate Women’s History Month. We will have food, drink, and fun watching selections from the film Girl Rising and discussing the question that is, unfortunately, still too often asked: do girls around the world deserve to be educated?

We know that educating girls is the smartest investment of our time. When girls are educated, communities thrive and economies grow. Yet 62 million girls are missing from classrooms worldwide, and tremendous opportunities are lost. Girl Rising explores solutions to the problem.

From Academy Award-nominated director Richard E. Robbins, GirlRising journeys around the globe to witness the strength of the human spirit and the power of education to change the world. Viewers get to know unforgettable girls living in the developing world: ordinary girls who confront tremendous challenges and overcome nearly impossible odds to pursue their dreams. Prize-winning authors put the girls’ remarkable stories into words, and renowned actors give them voice. The mantra of the film? Educate a girl; change the world.
