The TTC Transfer Scholars is a student organization that provides service to the college and to the community. The members strive to improve student success by helping to deliver opportunities which meet their own education goals. The club is designed to enhance individual leadership skills, and members have the potential to become models to other college students as well as to gain some real world experience to add to their resumes.

Past members have visited four-year colleges/universities and have actively participated in our annual college transfer fair. The members have helped themselves and others to realize their transfer goals through both receiving and providing mentoring and tutoring. They have also attended workshops and participated in symposiums. In addition, previous members have completed many community service projects, ranging from toiletry drives to feeding the hungry.

Opting not to join a college organization is every student’s right. But by not participating in a club, a student is missing out on a vital part of their college experience. Students should be aware that college is so much more than just classrooms, tests, and lectures, and employers want you to show you have done more than simply take classes. Also, college is fun on so many different levels. And the TTC Transfer Scholars help to make the college experience that much better! Contact nova.edwards@tridenttech.edu for more information.
