Downtown Palmer Campus Hiring a Trade Specialist



Trident Technical College’s Palmer Campus is seeking to fill a part-time contact Trades Specialist position.
Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

·         maintaining the overall appearance of the campus grounds and landscaping;
·         working evenings and weekend events;
·         estimating material needs and maintaining the physical facility;
·    performing routine and basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting and other repairs in accordance with accepted trade practices;
·      performing routine prevention maintenance; ensuring proper operation of equipment; providing labor assistance on campus with inventory, classroom equipment, office furniture moves 
·       managing plant operational and maintenance budgets responsibly to stay within budget allocations

Minimum requirements: This position requires an associate degree and two (2) years of directly related work experience; or a high school diploma and four (4) years of directly related work experience. 

Additional Skills and Abilities: Experience with HVAC specialist, plumber, or electrician. The ability to maintain the Palmer Campus Facilities Maintenance WebTMA systems (Preventative Maintenance and Work Orders) is also essential.

Salary is commensurate based on education and experience.

Work Hours:  Normal work hours for this position is 8:30 – 5:00.  Hours may vary to meet campus needs.
