Transfer 101: What You Need to Know about Transferring to a Four-Year College


 
What: Transfer 101 Sessions
When: Tuesday, April 19 at 2:30 and Wednesday, April 20  at 12:30
Where: Academic Resource Center (Building 510 Room 137). Main Campus.
 
Presented by Susan Norton, Assistant Vice President of Academic Programs, Transfer 101  is an overview of the steps for building a successful transfer program, including the following:

  • Explaining confusing terms: What do the following terms mean?
    • Transfer program
    • 2+2
    • Bridge
    • Articulation
    • Degree Completion
  • Planning: How do you make plan to obtain your four-year degree? 
    • Select a TTC major
    • Decide on a four-year college and major
    • Understand transfer policies
  • Making decisions: What are some important decisions you will need to make?
    • How long should you stay at TTC?
    • What courses should you select?
  • Using the right tools: When do you need and how do you use the following resources for transfer students?
